Reproductive freedom is an essential component in the fight for gender equity. The ACLU of Idaho is committed to ensuring all people have access to reproductive healthcare regardless of race, income, gender identity, or zip code. Through education, litigation, and advocacy, we seek to preserve and expand equal access to gender-affirming health care, educational programs, contraception, and abortion services.
This means zealously fighting against reproductive oppression in all its forms. We condemn state efforts to criminalize reproductive health care providers and patients, and oppose legislative strategies that decrease access to services by constructing barriers that prevent low-income communities from accessing care. In solidarity with community, we uplift and honor a person’s right to define, create, and actualize their own reproductive well-being.
