The ACLU of Idaho have been following what is happening around our state due to COVID-19. In response we have sent letters to the Governor, the Idaho Department of Correction and Department of Juvenile Corrections, as well as jails, sheriffs, police enforcement, and judges asking them to immediately release people from jails and prisons, to stop arresting people and putting them in jail, and to protect people that are most likely to contract the virus. Join us as we discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the criminal justice system and how the state is responding to the ACLU of Idaho's recommendations and what you can do to get involved.
Send your questions related to COVID-19 and Criminal Justice [email protected] prior to the event.
