June 12, 2017 @ 6:30 pm
@ 8:30 pm

We invite you to join the ACLU of Idaho, in partnership with the Idaho Alliance for the Serious Mental Illness Death Penalty Exemption (IASMIE) and the American Bar Association, for an evening cocktail reception to learn more about our legislative efforts to exempt individuals with severe mental illness from the death penalty in Idaho. The evening will include a panel of mental health and legal experts who will lay the groundwork for why this important policy change is needed to address the deficiencies of mental health care in Idaho’s criminal justice system.

Speakers will include:

  • Aurelie Tabuteau Mangels, Mental Illness Initiative Fellow, American Bar Association

  • Jim Baugh, Executive Director, Disability Rights Idaho

  • Dr. Camille LaCroix, MD, Forensic Psychiatry Services of Idaho

  • Professor Shaakirrah Sanders, University of Idaho College of Law

Light appetizers and a no-host bar will be provided and CLE credit pending.
