Ways to Support the ACLU of Idaho
In addition to becoming a member, you can help defend the traditional American values enshrined in the Bill of Rights by supporting the work of the American Civil Liberties Union through an ACLU Foundation gift, the DeSilver Society, or the Trust for the Bill of Rights. The ACLU depends largely on the generosity of its members for its annual budget. The ACLU does not accept government funding.
Support the ACLU Foundation
Defending First Amendment freedoms, equality, privacy rights and fundamental
fairness requires constant vigilance and support. Each year, individuals and
institutions -- including foundations, unions and corporations -- demonstrate
their commitment to those shared constitutional values through steady gifts and
grants to the ACLU-ID Foundation. Many ACLU-ID members also give generously
beyond their annual dues, through tax-deductible gifts to the ACLU-ID Foundation's legal and public education programs, as well as through special gifts that support the ACLU-ID's lobbying efforts. This support is indispensable in ensuring that the ACLU-ID's core programs and special projects are fully equipped. To make an ACLU-ID Foundation gift, please click

Preserve Liberty's Future
Many individuals choose to express their lifelong commitment to liberty by
creating a legacy that helps safeguard the ACLU's future. They do so by naming
the ACLU-ID Foundation in their wills, or by establishing charitable giving plans.
DeSilver Society
The ACLU has established The DeSilver Society to recognize this special group of loyal supporters. Their dedicated foresight and philanthropy, in the form of bequests and giving plans that provide income to donors or their beneficiaries during their lives, provide precious revenue to the ACLU after their lifetimes. Throughout the ACLU's history, thousands of individuals have chosen to act as stewards of our constitutional heritage for future generations.
