Legal Program
The ACLU of Idaho's Legal Department represents individuals whose rights have
been denied. Most of our clients are ordinary people who have experienced an
injustice and have decided to fight back.
The ACLU of Idaho litigates about 6 cases each year under the guidance of its
staff attorney. The legal department's work is supplemented by a cadre of highly
respected pro-bono attorneys who donate their time and talent to the ACLU of
Idaho.
On our Litigation and Legal Advocacy page
you will find information describing the
numerous and varied issues in which the American Civil Liberties Union of Idaho
has fought to protect individual rights in our state, either through litigation,
legal assistance, or other advocacy.
If you think you might have a case or an issue that the ACLU-ID might be interested in, please read
How to File a Complaint with the ACLU-ID.
If you're interested in becoming a Cooperating Attorney for the ACLU-ID, please take a few moments to complete our Cooperating Attorney Questionnaire.
