Citizens to Repeal Idaho’s Right to Work Law, Inc. v. Nampa Urban Renewal Agency – In 2004 political activists were arrested when seeking petition signatures for a ballot initiative at a public event center.  The ACLU represented the activists in federal court and won a temporary restraining order allowing such petitioning. We then, in June 2004, obtained a preliminary injunction allowing such petitioning and other First Amendment activity.  In March, 2005, Judge Lynn Winmill signed a consent order and judgment resolving our case and providing for the right to conduct First Amendment activities around the Idaho Center.  Boise attorney Alan Herzfeld served as ACLU of Idaho cooperating counsel on the case, assisted by national ACLU attorneys Mark Lopez and Sharon McGowan.
