Idaho Press Club v. Idaho Legislature – The ACLU, representing itself, the Idaho Conservation League and the Idaho League of Women Voters, were granted amicus curiae (friend of the court) status in support of the press’s challenge to closed meetings of Idaho legislative committees. Elizabeth Brandt and Sara Shepard submitted the ACLU’s brief to the Idaho Supreme Court in January 2006.
