Laws Against Discrimination
There are a variety of laws that prohibit discrimination on the basis of membership in the following protected classes:
- Federal Law prohibits discrimination based on race, gender, religion, national origin, age if over 40, disability and families with children in housing.
- Idaho State Law prohibits discrimination based on
race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability.
These laws prohibit discrimination in specified areas such as employment, housing,
public accommodations, real estate transactions, and education.
