LGBTQ Justice
For nearly a century, the ACLU has defended the rights of the LGBTQ community to live authentically and without discrimination, harassment, or violence. Today, the ACLU of Idaho carries on this tradition through local advocacy initiatives, legal challenges, and legislative efforts.
In recent years, state legislatures across the U.S. have advanced an unprecedented number of bills that target the LGBTQ community – particularly trans youth. Here in Idaho, we remain diligent in our efforts to protect and defend the rights, personal autonomy, and dignity of our community.
Our work continues beyond the legislative session. Below are factsheets that help explain recent legislative attacks on LGBTQ Idahoans.
